You’ve got questions, we’ve got answers

The time commitment for our self-paced course varies depending on your individual progress and familiarity with the grant-writing process. On average, you can expect to spend 5-10 hours per week on course materials, writing assignments, and incorporating feedback. We suggest a minimum of 12 weeks to complete the course, allowing you to fully benefit from the guidance and resources provided. Keep in mind that the more time and effort you invest in refining your grant proposal, the higher your chances of success. Our course is designed to be flexible, allowing you to manage your time effectively and work at a pace that suits your schedule and other commitments.

We ask that all participants hold a PhD and an employment status which allows them to submit NIH grants. The majority of our participants for the self-paced R01 course will be faculty level researchers with a strong publication record and a history of obtaining grant funding.

Yes, after completing the self-paced course, you will continue to have access to all course materials for your reference. This includes any video lessons, resources, and templates provided during the course. We believe that ongoing access to these materials will help you as you continue to apply for grants and refine your grant-writing skills in the future.

Our support doesn’t end with your submission. Once your grant scores are available, we’re glad to arrange a call to go over your summary statement. During this call, we can develop an initial plan for your rebuttal and explore the possibility of collaborating on your resubmission.
